The September Alchemissue

September is the biggest month in the world of fashion as it’s considered the time where the seasons change from Spring/Summer to Autumn/Winter, this is seen as the time where you can reinvent yourself through fashion.
With the September Issue now on the shelves and London Fashion Week only just wrapped up, we’ve decided to round up some of our team members to find out their work-wardrobe wisdom…

Jazmin Rimmer:
I tend to buy pieces that I personally like instead of focusing on the current trends.
Currently I like to wear black, white & nude tones but I am also drawn to autumnal colours such as rust-orange and greens.
I love vintage shops and timeless pieces. How I dress definitely depends on my mood. Often when shopping, I will keep in mind whether items are flexible in terms of dressing them up and down to incorporate them into my work wardrobe.

Danny Stewart:
I’d say my style is quite relaxed and I like to incorporate that into what I wear for work…
I think people should be less inhibited by the notion of stuffy work clothes; you can keep your wardrobe relaxed and still look professional with the right pieces.
Matching a blazer/pocket square combo with a t-shirt and trainers is still smart but maintains a level of ease.

Briony Wakefield:
Comfort is key. It’s possible to look professional and still be comfortable at the same time.
Comfort is so important, it makes me feel confident and most importantly with my role; allows me to be able to get stuck in and graft.
I express my personal style in work by sticking to basic staples and adding in a few colourful key pieces which express my creativity!

Mark Burville:
For me, it’s important to buy less and choose well.
I tend to purchase good quality staples as opposed to buying loads of more basic pieces. This way I can easily fit key pieces into different looks depending on the occasion.
Dressing for the occasion is important, which is why, working longer hours, I opt for some level of comfort when approaching workwear.

Vicky Hodgkisson:
Confidence is style and whatever I feel confident in, is what I feel stylish in.
It’s a way of expressing yourself and letting the world know who you are and what you’re about.
I thoroughly enjoy blurring lines between my work wear and home wear.
One piece of fashion advice?!
Silver boots go with everything!

Kieran Corbitt:
Style is subjective and for me, there should always be some kind of element of evolution in the way I dress.
With my line of work, I never know where the day could take me, so I tend to dress in a way that’s easily transitional from the office to the bar.
My number one style tip? You can never have enough black!

Georgia Zaryckyj:
Incorporating my personal style into workwear is easy as I always purchase items based on wearing them at work too (working is 5 out of our 7-day week!).
My days can vary from day to day, one day I could have meetings back to back with corporate companies and others I could be running around a field setting up for an event… these are the times formal workwear (and heels) are a regret! Zara and H&M are my go-tos!

Luke Almond:
When I first started out in management I would always wear a suit and spend a lot of money doing so but over the years I learnt to incorporate smart and casual to a more practical fit.
I lean towards workwear brands such as Dickies and Carharrt as they both offer hard wearing clothes but can easily be dressed up.
These mixed with a pair of Doc Martens and my famous thrift shop suit jacket purchases I would say my style is more street rock!
